Post-Booking & Post-Ticketing Service Fee Policy

Effective Date: October 2026
Last Updated: October 2026

This Post-Booking & Post-Ticketing Service Fee Policy explains professional service fees that may apply when Flight Fare Booking Inc., operating as Classic Fares (“Classic Fares,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides requested assistance after a flight ticket, car rental reservation, cruise reservation or other eligible travel service has been booked or confirmed.

Classic Fares is an independent travel services platform and travel-services intermediary.

Post-booking and post-ticketing services can require professional work including reservation review, fare-rule research, supplier communication, itinerary research, ticket exchanges, cancellations, refund assistance, waiver requests and other reservation-servicing activities.

All amounts stated in this Policy are in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Classic Fares professional service fees are separate from airline, cruise-line, car-rental-provider, consolidator, supplier or other third-party charges unless expressly stated otherwise.

1. General Post-Booking Fee Principles

After a reservation has been completed, a customer may ask Classic Fares to perform additional professional services.

Depending on the request, our travel professionals may need to:

  • Review the existing reservation;
  • Review applicable fare or rate conditions;
  • Research cancellation conditions;
  • Communicate with airlines or other suppliers;
  • Coordinate with contracted consolidators;
  • Research replacement flights;
  • Research alternative travel;
  • Recalculate fares;
  • Exchange or reissue tickets;
  • Process voluntary cancellation requests;
  • Assist with refund requests;
  • Assist with future travel credits;
  • Request airline or supplier waivers;
  • Research schedule-change options;
  • Correct eligible traveler information;
  • Reconfirm reservations;
  • Modify eligible car rental reservations;
  • Modify eligible cruise reservations; or
  • Perform other requested professional travel-servicing work.

A Classic Fares professional service fee may therefore apply in addition to charges imposed by the underlying travel provider.

2. Disclosure Before Charging a Service Fee

Where a Classic Fares post-booking or post-ticketing service fee applies:

The applicable Classic Fares fee will be disclosed before the customer authorizes the particular paid service.

We do not treat the customer's original booking authorization as authorization for an unrelated or materially different post-booking charge.

Where additional payment is required, customer authorization will be obtained before the applicable Classic Fares service fee is processed.

3. Classic Fares Fees vs. Provider Charges

Classic Fares professional service fees are separate from amounts independently imposed by:

  • Airlines;
  • Contracted consolidators;
  • Travel suppliers;
  • Car rental providers;
  • Cruise operators;
  • Payment providers; or
  • Other third parties.

Third-party amounts may include:

  • Airline change penalties;
  • Fare differences;
  • Additional airfare;
  • Additional taxes;
  • Airline ancillary charges;
  • Car rental rate differences;
  • Rental cancellation charges;
  • Cruise fare differences;
  • Cruise cancellation penalties;
  • Port charges;
  • Supplier processing charges; or
  • Other provider-imposed amounts.

Where applicable, these amounts are additional to the Classic Fares professional service fee.

Flight Post-Ticketing Services

4. Flight Cancellation Request Within 24 Hours

Where Classic Fares provides agent-assisted cancellation of an eligible flight reservation within 24 hours after booking, the following Classic Fares professional service fees may apply:

Domestic Economy Class

Up to $75 per passenger, per ticket

International Economy Class

Up to $100 per passenger, per ticket

Domestic Business or First Class

Up to $100 per passenger, per ticket

International Business or First Class

Up to $100 per passenger, per ticket

These are Classic Fares agent-assisted service fees.

Whether the underlying airline ticket itself qualifies for cancellation or refund within a particular period depends upon the transaction, applicable fare conditions and applicable law.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to reduce or eliminate a cancellation or refund right that cannot legally be waived.

5. Flight Cancellation With Future Travel Credit

Where the applicable airline or fare permits cancellation in exchange for a future travel credit and Classic Fares provides agent-assisted processing, the following service fees may apply:

Domestic Economy

Up to $75 per passenger, per ticket

International Economy

Up to $75 per passenger, per ticket

Domestic Business Class

Up to $100 per passenger, per ticket

International Business or First Class

Up to $100 per passenger, per ticket

Any:

  • Airline penalty;
  • Credit restriction;
  • Credit expiration date;
  • Fare difference;
  • Supplier charge; or
  • Other provider requirement

is separate from the Classic Fares service fee.

Payment of a Classic Fares service fee does not guarantee that the airline will issue a future travel credit.

6. Voluntary Flight Cancellation With Monetary Refund

Where a customer voluntarily requests cancellation and the applicable ticket is eligible for a monetary refund, Classic Fares may charge an agent-assisted cancellation and refund-processing service fee.

Domestic Economy Class

Up to $150 per passenger, per ticket

International Economy Class

Up to $250 per passenger, per ticket

Domestic Business or First Class

Up to $250 per passenger, per ticket

International Business or First Class

Up to $250 per passenger, per ticket

These amounts are Classic Fares professional service fees.

Any airline-imposed cancellation penalty or other provider charge is separate.

Important Exception

Where applicable law requires a refund because of:

  • An airline-initiated cancellation;
  • A qualifying significant schedule change; or
  • Another circumstance creating a mandatory refund right,

Classic Fares will not use this Policy to impose a service fee where charging such a fee would be prohibited by applicable law.

Mandatory passenger and consumer rights remain unaffected.

7. Changes, Exchanges & Reissues of Existing Airline Tickets

Where Classic Fares provides professional assistance with a voluntary:

  • Flight change;
  • Date change;
  • Time change;
  • Routing change;
  • Ticket exchange; or
  • Ticket reissue,

a Classic Fares exchange service fee may apply.

Ticket Value Below $1,000

Up to $200 per passenger, per ticket

Applicable Ticket Value of $1,000 or More

$200 or up to 15% of the applicable ticket value, whichever is greater

The applicable Classic Fares fee will be disclosed before the customer authorizes the paid service.

This fee is separate from:

  • Airline change penalties;
  • Fare differences;
  • Additional taxes;
  • Cabin upgrades;
  • Supplier charges; and
  • Optional airline products.

If the replacement itinerary costs more than the applicable value of the existing ticket, the customer is responsible for the applicable fare difference unless expressly stated otherwise.

8. Same-Day & Urgent Voluntary Flight Changes

Travelers sometimes require assistance very close to departure.

Where Classic Fares accepts an eligible same-day or urgent voluntary flight-change request requiring expedited servicing, an additional expedited professional-service fee of:

Up to $50 per passenger

may apply in addition to the applicable exchange or change service fee.

Any expedited fee will be disclosed before processing.

Availability of urgent assistance does not guarantee that the requested flight or airline inventory will be available.

9. Airline Waiver Assistance

In certain circumstances, a traveler may request that an airline make an exception to its ordinary rules.

Examples can include eligible:

  • Medical circumstances;
  • Bereavement;
  • Major travel disruption;
  • Fare-rule exceptions;
  • Ticket-validity matters; or
  • Other exceptional situations.

Classic Fares may provide professional assistance preparing or submitting an eligible waiver request.

Domestic Economy

Up to $75 per passenger

International Economy

Up to $100 per passenger

Domestic Business or First Class

Up to $100 per passenger

International Business or First Class

Up to $200 per passenger

Payment of the professional assistance fee does not guarantee that the airline will approve the waiver.

The airline retains authority over provider-controlled waiver decisions.

10. Special & Complex Flight Service Requests

Classic Fares may charge a professional service fee for complex post-ticketing work involving matters such as:

  • Bereavement requests;
  • Death-related travel issues;
  • Medical circumstances;
  • Duplicate reservations;
  • Infant ticketing;
  • Military-related waiver requests;
  • Name corrections;
  • Permitted name-change requests;
  • No-show recovery;
  • Ticket reinstatement;
  • Routing changes;
  • Ticket-validity issues;
  • Visa or transit-document complications affecting a reservation;
  • Complex schedule changes;
  • Unaccompanied-minor arrangements;
  • Special airline waiver requests;
  • Multi-airline servicing;
  • Complex ticket research; or
  • Similar professional reservation-servicing work.

The Classic Fares professional service fee for eligible complex flight services may range from:

$75 to $200 per passenger

depending on factors such as:

  • Complexity;
  • Domestic or international itinerary;
  • Cabin;
  • Supplier requirements;
  • Number of segments;
  • Work required; and
  • Urgency.

The exact Classic Fares fee will be disclosed before the customer authorizes the paid service.

11. Airline Schedule Change Assistance

Where an airline changes or cancels a flight, Classic Fares may provide reasonable assistance concerning available options.

Basic assistance relating to an eligible Classic Fares reservation may be provided without an additional Classic Fares professional service fee where required by law or where no substantial additional customized professional service is requested.

If a customer requests substantial additional work beyond ordinary schedule-change servicing—for example:

  • Extensive alternative-flight research;
  • Complex multi-airline restructuring;
  • Customized rerouting;
  • Multiple alternative itinerary searches; or
  • Professional consultation beyond supplier-provided alternatives,

a Classic Fares professional assistance fee of:

Up to $100 per passenger

may apply.

The applicable fee will be disclosed before the additional paid service is undertaken.

Mandatory passenger rights remain unaffected.

12. Seat, Meal & Other Airline Ancillary Assistance

Where Classic Fares manually assists after ticketing with an optional airline service, a professional service fee of:

Up to $25 per passenger, per request

may apply.

Examples include eligible assistance concerning:

  • Seat requests;
  • Meal requests;
  • Frequent-flyer information;
  • Special-service requests;
  • Certain accessibility requests;
  • Airline ancillary requests; or
  • Other optional airline services.

Any airline charge for the actual seat, baggage, meal, upgrade or other product is separate from the Classic Fares service fee.

13. Name Correction Assistance

Where Classic Fares provides manual post-ticketing assistance for an eligible passenger-name correction, the service may fall within our complex-flight-service fee range of:

$75 to $200 per passenger

depending on the nature and complexity of the correction.

Airline or supplier charges may be additional.

A name correction is not the same as transferring a ticket to another person.

Not all tickets permit passenger-name changes or substitutions.

14. No-Show & Ticket Reinstatement Assistance

Where a passenger misses a flight and requests Classic Fares to research:

  • Ticket reinstatement;
  • Remaining ticket value;
  • Alternative flights;
  • Airline exceptions;
  • Rebooking;
  • Travel credit; or
  • Other possible recovery options,

a professional service fee within the applicable complex-service range of:

$75 to $200 per passenger

may apply.

Airline no-show rules remain controlling.

Payment of the Classic Fares service fee does not guarantee reinstatement, credit or another favorable outcome.

Car Rental Post-Booking Services

15. Car Rental Post-Booking Assistance

Classic Fares provides car rental booking assistance through a request-a-quote model.

After a car rental reservation has been confirmed, modifications and cancellations may be governed by the applicable:

  • Rental provider;
  • Dealer;
  • Wholesaler;
  • Supplier; or
  • Other fulfillment source.

Classic Fares may charge a separate professional service fee when a customer requests manual servicing of an existing reservation.

16. Car Rental Cancellation Assistance

For an eligible car rental reservation cancelled through Classic Fares agent assistance:

Standard Eligible Rental

Up to $50 per reservation

Prepaid, Specially Negotiated, Promotional, Dealer, Wholesale or Restricted Rental Requiring Additional Supplier Processing

Up to $75 per reservation

The Classic Fares service fee is separate from any rental-provider cancellation penalty.

If the underlying rental is non-refundable, payment of a Classic Fares cancellation-assistance fee does not make the rental refundable.

17. Car Rental Modification

Where Classic Fares assists with modifying an eligible existing car rental reservation, a professional service fee of:

Up to $50 per reservation

may apply.

Eligible modifications may include:

  • Pickup date;
  • Return date;
  • Pickup location;
  • Return location;
  • Vehicle category;
  • Driver information; or
  • Other permitted reservation details.

If the revised rental price is higher, the customer is responsible for the applicable rate difference.

Supplier-imposed modification charges are separate.

18. Complex Car Rental Rebooking

Where a customer requests:

  • Cancellation and replacement of an existing rental;
  • Extensive search for replacement inventory;
  • Coordination among multiple rental suppliers; or
  • Other complex rental restructuring,

Classic Fares may charge a professional rebooking fee of:

Up to $100 per reservation

The replacement rental price and applicable supplier charges are separate.

19. Car Rental No-Show Assistance

If a customer fails to collect a rental vehicle and requests Classic Fares to attempt:

  • Reinstatement;
  • Refund assistance;
  • Travel/rental credit;
  • Supplier exception;
  • Alternative rental; or
  • Other professional assistance,

a Classic Fares professional service fee of:

Up to $75 per reservation

may apply.

This fee compensates Classic Fares for the requested professional assistance and does not guarantee that the rental provider will approve the requested outcome.

20. Rental Provider Waiver or Refund Request

For exceptional car rental requests involving matters such as:

  • Medical emergencies;
  • Duplicate reservations;
  • Supplier disputes;
  • Incorrect reservation dates;
  • No-show situations;

Cruise Post-Booking Services

21. Cruise Post-Booking Assistance

Cruise reservations can involve significant post-booking servicing.

Cruise operators may impose their own rules concerning:

  • Deposits;
  • Final payments;
  • Amendments;
  • Passenger information;
  • Cabin changes;
  • Sailing changes;
  • Cancellation;
  • Refunds;
  • Future cruise credits; and
  • Other reservation matters.

Classic Fares professional service fees are separate from amounts charged or retained by the cruise operator.

22. Cruise Cancellation Assistance

Where Classic Fares provides professional assistance processing a voluntary cancellation of an eligible cruise reservation, the following service fees may apply:

Total Cruise Booking Value Below $2,500

Up to $100 per cabin

Total Cruise Booking Value From $2,500 to $5,000

Up to $150 per cabin

Total Cruise Booking Value Above $5,000

Up to $250 per cabin

The applicable cruise operator may separately impose cancellation penalties, including partial or complete loss of:

  • Deposit;
  • Cruise fare;
  • Promotional value; or
  • Other reservation value.

Classic Fares fees are separate from those cruise-line amounts.

23. Cruise Date, Sailing or Itinerary Change

Where permitted by the applicable cruise operator, Classic Fares may assist with moving an existing reservation to another:

  • Sailing date;
  • Ship;
  • Itinerary;
  • Departure; or
  • Other permitted cruise option.

A Classic Fares professional service fee of:

Up to $150 per cabin

may apply.

Any difference in:

  • Cruise fare;
  • Taxes;
  • Port charges;
  • Supplier charges;
  • Promotional value; or
  • Other cruise-line amount

is separate.

24. Cruise Cabin Change or Upgrade

Where Classic Fares manually assists with changing or upgrading an eligible cruise cabin, a professional service fee of:

Up to $75 per cabin

may apply.

The customer is separately responsible for any increase in cruise fare or other amount required by the cruise operator.

25. Cruise Passenger Information Changes

Where permitted by the applicable cruise operator, Classic Fares may assist with:

  • Passenger-name corrections;
  • Permitted passenger substitutions;
  • Traveler-information corrections; or
  • Other eligible passenger modifications.

A Classic Fares professional service fee of:

Up to $75 per passenger

may apply.

Any cruise-line or supplier charge is additional.

Passenger substitutions and name changes are not permitted on every cruise reservation.

26. Complex Cruise Rebooking

Where a customer asks Classic Fares to substantially restructure an existing cruise reservation, including:

  • Replacing a sailing;
  • Changing multiple components;
  • Researching alternative cruises;
  • Coordinating multiple cruise options; or
  • Coordinating additional eligible travel services,

a professional rebooking fee of:

Up to $250 per cabin

may apply.

The applicable fee will be disclosed before the customer authorizes the paid service.

Where the matter requires:

  • Extensive supplier communication;
  • Exceptional waiver requests;
  • Complex documentation; or
  • Other substantial professional work,

the Classic Fares service fee may be:

Up to $250 per cabin

Payment of the Classic Fares fee does not guarantee that the cruise operator will approve a refund, waiver or future cruise credit.

  • Death or bereavement;
  • Medical emergency;

depending on the complexity of the request.

Third-Party Booking & Travel Consultation Services

29. Assistance With Reservations Booked Elsewhere

Classic Fares may provide independent professional travel consultation for certain eligible reservations that were not originally booked through Classic Fares.

Examples may include reservations originally purchased:

  • Directly from an airline;
  • Through another OTA;
  • Through another travel agency;
  • Through another ticketing source;
  • Through a car rental company;
  • Through a cruise operator; or
  • Through another travel provider.

For eligible travel consultation:
Call 1-877-658-0203

Before providing a paid consultation service, Classic Fares will disclose the applicable professional-service fee and scope of assistance.

30. Third-Party Reservation Consultation Fees

Because third-party reservations can require additional research, professional consultation fees may vary according to:

  • Complexity;
  • Travel product;
  • Domestic or international itinerary;
  • Cabin;
  • Number of passengers;
  • Number of segments;
  • Supplier access;
  • Research required;
  • Urgency; and
  • Work requested.

Where the requested service corresponds to a fee category published in this Policy, the applicable published maximum will apply.

Where a specialized consultation does not reasonably fit a published category:

The exact professional fee must be disclosed to the customer and affirmatively authorized before the paid service begins.

A customer is not required to purchase Classic Fares consultation and may contact the original provider or booking source directly.

31. Consultation Does Not Guarantee Provider Approval

A Classic Fares professional service fee compensates Classic Fares for the agreed work.

It does not purchase or guarantee a favorable decision from:

  • An airline;
  • Cruise line;
  • Rental provider;
  • Original travel agency;
  • Consolidator;
  • Supplier; or
  • Other third party.

For example, payment for refund assistance does not guarantee a refund.

Payment for waiver assistance does not guarantee a waiver.

Payment for travel-credit assistance does not guarantee that a credit will be issued or extended.

Important Fee Conditions

32. “Up To” Fees

Where this Policy states that a Classic Fares service fee is “up to” a particular amount, the actual fee charged for the requested service will not exceed the published maximum for that category unless:

  • The customer requests a materially different service;
  • A different published fee category applies; or
  • An additional separately identified service is requested and authorized.

The actual applicable fee will be disclosed before authorization.

33. Per Passenger, Per Ticket, Per Reservation & Per Cabin

Fee units are important.

“Per Passenger”

It may apply separately to each passenger receiving the applicable professional service.

“Per Passenger, Per Ticket”

It may apply separately to each applicable ticket and passenger.

“Per Reservation”

It generally applies to the applicable reservation being serviced.

“Per Cabin”

It generally applies to the applicable cruise cabin being serviced.

Customers will be informed of the applicable amount before authorizing the paid service.

34. Multiple Services

A customer may sometimes request more than one separate post-booking service.

For example, a customer might request:

  1. Cancellation of an existing ticket;
  2. Extensive research for a replacement itinerary; and
  3. Booking of new travel.

Where separate professional services and separate fees apply, Classic Fares will disclose the applicable charges before obtaining authorization.

We will not rely on vague or undisclosed charges.

35. Supplier Fees Are Separate

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Classic Fares service fees do not include amounts imposed by third-party providers.

Classic Fares Exchange Fee + Airline Fare Difference + Airline/Supplier Charges = Potential Total Cost of an Eligible Voluntary Exchange

The actual applicable customer-facing amount will be disclosed before the requested paid transaction is processed.

36. Restricted, Bulk & Negotiated Fares

Certain fares sourced through:

  • Contracted consolidators;
  • Bulk-fare sources;
  • Negotiated inventory;
  • Private inventory;
  • Specialized suppliers;
  • GDS channels;
  • Travel APIs; or
  • Other travel-industry sources

may carry particular servicing restrictions.

Depending on the specific fare rules, such tickets may be:

  • Non-refundable;
  • Restricted from voluntary cancellation;
  • Restricted from changes;
  • Subject to special exchange procedures;
  • Eligible only for limited travel credit; or
  • Subject to other supplier conditions.

Not every bulk, negotiated or specially sourced fare is automatically non-refundable or non-changeable.

The actual rules applicable to the specific ticket control.

Payment of a Classic Fares professional service fee does not alter the underlying fare rules.

37. Refund of Classic Fares Service Fees

A Classic Fares professional service fee compensates us for the requested professional work.

Once the agreed professional service has been substantially performed, the applicable Classic Fares service fee may be non-refundable, subject to:

  • The terms disclosed before authorization;
  • The nature of the service;
  • Whether the service was performed; and
  • Applicable law.

A supplier's refusal to grant the customer's requested outcome does not by itself mean that professional work already performed by Classic Fares was not provided.

Nothing in this section limits a refund right that cannot legally be waived.

38. No Fee for Merely Calling Us

Simply contacting Classic Fares or asking a basic question does not automatically create a paid professional-service charge.

Where a requested activity requires a separately charged professional service:

  1. We will identify the service;
  2. Disclose the applicable Classic Fares fee;
  3. Explain relevant known third-party charges where applicable; and
  4. Obtain customer authorization before processing the Classic Fares fee.

39. Original Booking Authorization Is Not Open-Ended Authorization

Payment authorization given for the original reservation is not an unlimited authorization for future charges.

Classic Fares will not treat an original flight, car rental or cruise purchase authorization as permission to process an unrelated or materially different post-booking professional-service fee.

Separate authorization will be obtained where an additional Classic Fares fee applies.

40. Provider-Initiated Disruptions

Where an airline, cruise line, rental provider or other supplier causes a cancellation or material service change, customer rights may differ from those applicable to a voluntary customer-requested change.

Classic Fares will not use this Post-Booking & Post-Ticketing Service Fee Policy to eliminate or reduce rights that applicable law makes mandatory.

41. Payment Authorization

Before processing an applicable paid post-booking service, the customer should be informed of:

  • The requested service;
  • The Classic Fares service fee;
  • Known applicable fare/rate differences where reasonably determinable;
  • Known supplier charges where applicable; and
  • The nature of the requested transaction.

The customer may decide whether to proceed.

42. Changes to This Fee Policy

Classic Fares may update this Policy periodically.

Any updated fee structure will apply prospectively according to the published terms and applicable law.

The Last Updated date at the top of this page identifies the current published version.

Updating this Policy does not authorize Classic Fares to retroactively impose an undisclosed fee on a service already purchased.
